This year, some of the monks are able to put on new sets of Vajra Dance costumes in the Grand Vajrakilaya Puja. Even though some of the costumes do not have full ornaments, nevertheless, Ven. Tiktsa Rinpoche and the monks of the Tsunda Monastery like to thanks all donors for their donations.

We still need to raise sufficient money to purchase the accessories and ornaments for the Vajra Dance costumes.

Finally, we have raised sufficient money to purchase a new Maitreya Bodhisattva statue for the Tsunda Monastery Retreat Centre. Rejoice!

The new Tsunda Monastery Retreat Centre is on its way for completion. The building complex is now having interior furnishing. The painting works have yet to be commenced. Anyway, we rejoice for our dreams come true!

Finally, we have raised sufficient money to purchase a new Buddha Amitabha statue for the Tsunda Monastery Retreat Centre. Rejoice!

Currently, we are still shortage of money to purchase new statues for the Tsunda Monastery Retreat Centre.

The painting works for new Tsunda Monastery Retreat Centre is on its way for completion. The first batch of 9 monks will be going into 3 year retreat soon. As this new retreat centre is bulit by taking loan from banks (about SGD100,000), Rinpoche would like to appeal to people capable of sponsoring retreat monks or donating to the building of the retreat centre to do so. In addition, the necessities for retreat monks were not purchase yet like beddings, etc. Please feel free to contact with our correspondants if you are interested to contribute in the Tsunda Monastery Retreat Centre Project. (Please refer to "Projects" link.) This act will sow a seed for retreats in our future lives although we are unable to do any retreats due to our hectic life in this lifetime.

This winter is extremely cold with heavy snow fall.

Currently, we are needed to buy dagham winter coats for 160 monks urgently. One set of dagham winter coat costs between SGD200.00 to SGD250.00.

Due to all your kind and generous support, the monks of Tsunda Monastery were able to survive through the harsh winter at the beginning of the year. Ven. Tiktsa Rinpoche and the monks of the Tsunda Monastery would like to thank for your dana.

Due to the harsh winter with heavy snowfall, although the monks were able to get through the crisis. Tsunda Monastery now faces a much bigger obstacle, the heavy snow accumulated on the roof of the monastery had created much stress on the already weaken pillars. Therefore, the monastery is now on the verge of collapsing!

Rinpoche has no choice but to start renovating the monastery despite his lack of funds. Therefore Rinpoche will like to appeal to those who have the means, please feel free to contact with our correspondants if you are interested to contribute in the renovatation work (Please refer to "Projects" link.), or help us to pass the message around.

Ven. Tiktsa Rinpoche requires 9 skull cups for the coming Annual Yamantaka Ritual. Each skull cup costs about SGD400.00, and they are specially ordered in Lhasa. Ven. Tiktsa Rinpoche will be leading his monks to perform the following rituals in the Tsunda Monastery next month:

1. Smoke Offering ritual, raising of Wind Horse Prayer Flag and long Mahakala Puja on 7 July 2009.
Suggested donation will be SGD20.00 per name per puja.

2. 7-day Yamantaka Puja for clearing life threatening obstacles and increasing lifespan from 13 July 2009.
Suggested donation will be SGD50.00 per name per puja.

3. 10-day Vajrakilaya and Yangdak Heruka Pujas for clearing obstacles and wish-fulfilment from 24 July 2009.
Suggested donation will be SGD50.00 per name per puja.

Due to Cultural Revolution, most of the ritual practices were wiped off in Tibet and the ritual items were lost or destroyed. Ven. Tiktsa Rinpoche wishes to revive the traditional ritual practices in his monastery, especially the annual rituals, so therefore, Rinpoche would like to appeal to people who have capable of sponsoring the required ritual items, such as Vajra Dance masks, curved knives, skull cups and etc. For those who are unable to contribute, please feel free by spreading this project to your friends and colleagues.
